Janice Miller, MSW, LCSW-C
Janice Miller, MSW, LCSW-C, the Director of Client Services for the House Of Ruth Maryland, oversees the Contact Center and 24 hour hotline; the Client Services Coordinators, providing individualized one-stop service coordination for all D/IPV clients; and the Residential Services Program, including an 84 bed emergency and transitional housing program for battered women, temporary hotel placements and an innovative Recovery Act funded community based transitional housing program. Her strength lies in developing programs that seek to maximize client strengths and ownership of their potential, while providing new paths to success.
Miller has worked with victims of sexual assault and domestic violence for the past 20 years. Some highlights from her career include serving as a Board Member for the Michigan Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Violence, receiving a 2003 Healthy Hero Award from Amerigroup, presenting on an original Residential Continuum concept at the 2006 conference for the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, participating in the city of Batimore’s committee to develop the 10 Year Plan To End Homelessness in 2007, and presenting in a teleconference on the unique on-site health suite partnership with Johns Hopkins School Of Nursing in 2009.
